 Anger Management Classes

(12 weeks)

As part of our community outreach, FPC hosts Anger Management Classes. These classes focus on reducing the effects of anger on the person and family, self-control, and refocusing techniques. Some participants enter these classes as recommended by the judicial system, however, they are open to the public.
 
Classes are held weekly on Sunday mornings, 8:00 a.m., in the McKinney building. If you are new, start time is 7:45 for orientation.   

Program Guidelines:

All members are required to abide by the following specified guidelines.


Members must:

  • Pay all fees on a weekly basis. (Book price is $15 + $20 per lesson)

  • Complete all answers at the end of each chapter. Note: Answers suspected of being completed by someone other than the student will not be accepted. It is advisable to complete the answers to each chapter as it is covered each week.

  • Refrain from the use of drugs and alcohol.

  • Refrain from smoking on church premises.

  • Arrive to class promptly. Students who are 5 minutes late or more will be sent home and it will count as an absence.

  • Treat all other members and instructors with respect.

  • Attend twelve complete one hour sessions.

  • Only miss class in cases of extreme emergency (any classes missed must be made up).

  • Dress in proper attire.

  • Turn off all cell phones during class.

  • Offensive/inappropriate tattoos must be covered.

  • NOTE: A student may only miss two lessons. IF A STUDENT IS ABSENT FOR MORE THAN TWO LESSONS, THE STUDENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BEGIN THE PROGRAM ANEW
