Throughout the history of mankind God has been reaching out to us. He has shown man His very nature in the various names he has given Himself in the Old Testament. God told us that He was our Creator, our Healer, our Provider, our Shepherd, our King, our Defender, our Peace, our Banner, The Almighty, and our Savior among others.
As the time for the revealing of the Antichrist approaches, we find the governments of the world, through socialism, trying to use the force of government to usurp the position and titles of God. Through socialistic thinking and the creation of a welfare state, government leaders are trying to get us to look to them as our ultimate means of provision,and healing through government give-away programs and a mandated national health-care system.
They want to replace God as our King by throwing out His Laws and replacing them with what they feel is a better way. What God calls evil and an abomination, they call good and “a right.” Morality has been thrown out of the window. They want to recognize homosexuality as an acceptable alternate lifestyle. They have approved abortion and declared that the child in the womb is not a person.
The idea of euthanasia is now gaining acceptance and approval under the guise of “physician assisted suicide.” Multiplied generations of family members have been on government assistance or welfare all of their lives. They have never worked to earn a living and look solely to the government to provide for their daily needs.
More and more people are buying into the system. America is in a moral nose-dive and the situation seems to get worse every day. Voters in Oregon recently rejected an attempt to overturn their physician assisted suicide law.
MTV is about to launch a series of ads designed to convince teenagers that killing babies is a good and noble thing. In the meantime, Jane Fonda, backed by one of the world’s largest makers of condoms, has launched an all-out attack on federally-funded “[sexual] abstinence until marriage” programs. Her campaign is called “Truth for Youth.” It is obviously designed to promote sexual promiscuity and will continue to sell our children on the lie that condom use equals safe sex.
One thing is certain. Every time man turns away from one of God’s laws or principals, he pushes himself further into a situation of personal bondage and harms not only himself but also those around him.
When socialism finally triumphs and becomes the prophesied World Government, it will be taken over and controlled by someone who, at first, will be considered a benevolent dictator. He will later reveal himself to be the Antichrist by claiming to be God. He will demand an oath of loyalty and for that oath, he will cause all who bow to him to take the mark in his right hand or in his forehead without which no person will be able to buy or sell. Without the mark, there will seemingly be no means of provision or access to medical treatment or other government services.
The Book of Revelation warns that all those who take the mark of the beast will be condemned and doomed to everlasting punishment. Receiving this mark will be considered the ultimate turning away from Almighty God. Those who do it in order to participate in that world system will know that they are being asked to reject God.
Revelation 14:6&7 says, “Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth — to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.’”(NIV) In speaking of this time, Jesus said “ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt. 224:14 NIV)
I pray that you will heed these warnings and choose this day to follow Jesus Christ. Carefully consider if you are obeying the gospel and the laws of God, or if you have allowed the government or something else to become the lord of your life. The good news is its not too late to change; however, the end is fast approaching.
Choose eternal life by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus’ death on the cross as payment of the penalty for your sins, repent of those sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, which is God’s sign to you that you have been redeemed. Do it today!
