Never Good Enough

We're always reminded of what we lack;
about our faults and imperfections.
No matter how far in life we've come,
we're attacked by Satan's deceptions.

He brazenly comes, telling us lies.
He doesn't want us to know.
Before we can realize how far we've come,
he reminds us how far we must go.

Our growth in the Lord is a daily climb.
Some battles we may not win.
Victory comes, not in the times we fall,
but when we rise and try again.

Blinded to the progress we've made in life,
with our eyes, we cannot see.
Satan's intent is to steal our joy,
by reminding us what we should be.

So, dwell not on mistakes of the past,
for God has a plan, you can bet.
Rejoice in how much you've already grown
and know He's not through with us yet.
