When a woman brings forth a child in birth,
she experiences pain like no other.
With each contraction she counts the moments,
for soon, she'll be a new mother.
From beginning 'til end she anxiously waits
for that moment of sweet surprise.
Though at times her pain is unbearable,
it's forgotten when her child arrives.
Labor has started and the pain grows deep
in this world we live in today.
Natural disasters are everywhere.
Now there's no turning away.
Earthquakes have killed many.
Their tremors are felt miles around.
Homes and cities lie in ruin,
Survivors cannot be found.
Tornadoes also take their toll.
Who next will lie in their wake?
Nothing prepares us for the destruction.
How many lives will the next one take?
Hurricanes grow strength from warm waters.
Their destinations no one knows for sure.
As massive evacuations take place,
those who stay pray to endure.
Floods, snow storms, mudslides and drought,
are they reminders of our sins?
God is trying to get our attention,
and to turn our hearts back to Him.
No other time in our world's history
have natural disasters so plagued our land.
The Bible warns us of such a day.
The wrath of God is close at hand.
We're given the example of a woman,
Who, in labor, struggles to give birth.
She is representative of the world,
and her pain, the disasters of earth.
The countdown has started; we experience her pain.
Her contractions grow closer each day.
Every time she moans in agony,
a disaster is soon on its way.
Jesus is coming. I have no doubt.
If you look in the Bible, you'll find
When the earth has begun its labor,
our rapture is the next thing in line.
Something new is happening everyday.
When you turn on the news you'll see.
In diverse places around the world,
there's another catastrophe.
"Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." ("beginning of sorrows." in KJV)
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." -- Matthew 24:4-13 (NIV)
