Our country is known for its greatness,
and the accomplishments we have achieved.
A land where freedoms are granted.
With faith, our fathers believed.
History tells of our struggles,
and the battles that we fought.
To be known as a nation under God
is the victory that we sought.
We may be great in knowledge,
and think we hold the key.
Now we dictate beliefs and standards
of how other countries should be.
But who are we to judge others,
when we ourselves have sinned.
We caused many great injustices,
which, though wrong, became the trend.
We bought the lives of others
then forced them to perform our deeds.
Slavery became a way of life
to serve our selfish needs.
We took the Indian's way of life,
his freedom, land, and home.
Forced him to live on reservations,
forbid him to freely roam.
We fought to gain our freedom,
yet others freedoms are what we took.
So bold in thinking the color white
was the way all men should look.
But above all other injustice,
another people have suffered much worse.
For 2,000 years they've been hated;
Their country destroyed and cursed.
Thousands were killed because of their faith,
and scattered through the earth, they roam.
Their land and freedoms taken away,
they were driven by force from home.
The Jews are the people I speak of.
Israel was their promised land.
Inherited because of Abraham's faith,
it was given by God's own hand.
For centuries many sought to destroy
the country and people therein.
The goal was to kill and forbid them to build
a temple for worship again.
Thank you, Father, for protecting the land,
and the people You call Your own.
Israel is now a nation again.
Your people You finally brought home.
Though our country has done many wrongs,
I pray we never neglect
to support the nation of Your birth.
Israel - may we defend and protect.
Blessed is he that blesses thee,
and cursed are those who offend.
I pray America will always stand
with Israel until the end.
