Each time I look at our youngest child,
its a miracle I see.
I think on what almost happened,
and how good God’s been to me.
I think about the day my wife collapsed,
while pregnant with our child.
I rushed her to a hospital,
and worried all the while.
The ER said she was in shock.
Her blood pressure was very low.
They feared something inside had popped,
but what, they did not know.
The doctors gave a bad report.
Test results must change, and soon.
If the internal bleeding did not stop,
they would operate the following noon.
Then came the worst news of all.
My heart broke when they said it.
If they proceeded as they needed,
the baby wouldn’t make it.
It was then that we prayed to the Lord,
and asked Jesus to move in healing.
I looked at my wife lying there,
not knowing what she was feeling.
Next morning all tests were normal.
The operation orders were rescinded.
The Lord had moved His healing hands.
My wife’s problems had been mended.
Eight months later a baby girl
became our new addition.
Kristen was our miracle baby’s name,
and healthy was her condition.
Now I come home in the evenings,
“Daddy’s home!” she shouts with glee,
and I thank God for my family’s love,
for He’s been so good to me.
