You Can Never Take Jesus From My Heart

You can take away our right to pray
in the schools or in the streets.
You can even take my Bible
and refuse me the freedom to speak.

You can take the Ten Commandments
and the guidance that they taught,
but know the one thing you can never take
is Jesus from my heart.

You can take away the unborn child,
by giving women the right to choose.
Life or death should not be their choice.
In the end we all will lose.

You can teach against my morals
without a second thought,
but, this you'll never take away -
Jesus from my heart.

You can try to take my children away
to teach them political correctness.
But your opinion of what's right or wrong
is dangerous and even reckless.

You can take away my religion and church,
and deny me to ever take part.
With all the things you try to take away,
you can never take Jesus from my heart.

You can take away my family.
Breaking up my happy home.
You can even take my every right away,
and everything I've ever owned.

You can also take away my life,
thinking what you've done is so smart.
But, you'll never, no matter what you do,
take Jesus from my heart.
